Don’t be afraid of make up! A little bit of foundation, blush and mascara can really change a costume. This goes for males and crosplaying females as well! Use a nice lipgloss/gentle shade of lipstick for female characters or a nude color for males. Make up will make your features stand out in a picture; dancers and actors wear tons of make up, so a little bit for your costume won’t hurt. Even if your character doesn’t wear any, make up will help you stand out and give you a more animated look. Play around and find a look that fits you and your cosplay!
